It seems like Nicki Minaj is having a hard time adjusting to being a new judge on American Idol. But this time Minaj’s beef isn’t with any of the current judges but rather with recently ousted judge, Steven Tyler. Minaj took to Twitter to share her less than kind thoughts about Tyler who she believes to have made a racist remark against her. In an interview with MTV, Tyler slammed the new judges on the show stating “You just have to give your opinion. It wasn’t hard for me, but I would imagine it’s hard for some people, and they need a manager to say ‘Shut the f— up, and just give them your opinion. “These kids, they just got out of a car from the Midwest somewhere and they’re in New York City, they’re scared to death; you’re not going to get the best [out of them]. If it was Bob Dylan  Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips. Just saying.” Minaj’s response? “Steven Tyler said I would have sent Bob Dylan to a cornfield??? Steven, you haven’t seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet. I understand you really wanted to keep your job but take that up with the producers. I haven’t done anything to you. That’s a racist comment. You assume that I wouldn’t have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f–k yourself and worry about yourself babe.” Minaj later tweeted, “LOL lets make him a shirt that says “No Coloreds Allowed” then escort him down 2 Barbara Walters so he can tell how he was threatened w/guns. When Steven 1st went on Idol he was ridiculed by his peers & fans alike. Called a sell out. So what does he do? Ridicule the next judge.” Tyler hasn’t responded to any of Nicki’s tweets and Fox had no comment on the matter.

Looks like the only remaining original judge will be sticking around on American Idol. Randy Jackson is reportedly is nearing a deal to return as a judge for season 12, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jackson will supposedly be taking the spot that was meant to go to Latin singer Enrique Iglesias. Since Idol decided to re-vamp its judging table, Jackson’s future up until now had been up in the air with rumors claiming he would be returning as a mentor but now it seems as if he’ll be joining Mariah Carey and…Nicki Minaj? Keith Urban? There are still some judging seats to be filled. Fox has no comment on the rumors that Randy Jackson is signing on to return.

Once again it’s time to discuss the rumors surrounding filling the judges table over on American Idol. The most recent rumor states that Latin singer Enrique Iglesias has been offered a spot as a judge. According to EW.com the singer-songwriter has received an offer of around $4 million per year to become one of four judges on the panel. Fox had no comment on the reported deal with Iglesias. With Iglesias seemingly locked, the status of Nicki Minaj is still up in the air. When speaking to E! News last night on the MTV VMA carpet, Nicki coyly responded; “I don’t know yet. I really don’t know. I have no comment on it. Everything in my life, every answer in my life, every opportunity is always my decision.” Keep checking back for updates on American Idol judges casting.

Randy Jackson’s American Idol Drama

"Land of the Lost" American Premiere - Arrivals

After 11 seasons and being the only original judge standing Randy Jackson’s future on American Idol is still up in the air. Rumors began circulating awhile ago that Jackson would leave the judge’s table in order to become a mentor to the contestants but his future isn’t concrete quite yet. The final decision won’t be made until the new season 12 judges are in place. A source tells E! News “Negotiations are still in progress and nothing has been decided yet. If he chooses to stay Randy is mulling over what he would like his role to be on the show. This will all be resolved hopefully very soon.” With all this chaos surrounding American Idol judges producer Nigel Lythgoe is considering having one-year judges instead of signing them to multi-season deals.

Nicki Minaj: New American Idol Judge?

Nicki Minaj New American Idol Judge

It seems as if Nicki Minaj will “definitely” be joining Mariah Carey at the judges table for the new season of American Idol, well if you believe US Weekly. As reported back in July, Minaj was included on a long list of A-listers being considered as a new judge for the upcoming 12th season of Idol and now a source is revealing to US that Nicki is “100 percent confirmed to judge American Idol.” This new report comes just three days after The Hollywood Reporter claimed Minaj, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias were on the shortlist for the re-vamped four-person judging panel. Fremantlemedia, the production company behind Idol, and Fox had no comment on this judging rumor. Stay tuned for official new of judge casting.

Everything You Need To Know About The Recent American Idol News

After recently reporting about possible judge hopefuls in case one or more of the Idol judges would not be returning for the 12th season, both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have went on the record to announce that they would not be returning for the upcoming season. On the 12th, Tyler made it official via a Fox press release that he won’t be back because he wants to focus on Aerosmith. In the statement, Tyler said; “Idol was over-the-top fun, and I loved every minute of it…Now it’s time to bring Rock Back.” Less than 24 hours later, Lopez also announced via Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show that she would also not be returning. “I honestly feel the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that you do, and you have to pay attention to that, too,” she says. “I could keep doing Idol for the rest of my life, but that would be giving up a bunch of other things. I feel like we had an amazing run.” No news on whether or not original judge since season 1 Randy Jackson would still remain on the show but some top choices for replacements for Tyler and Lopez include Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, and Adam Lambert.

American Idol and X-Factor Still Looking For Replacements

American Idol is already on the look-out for some possible new judges even though the bosses at AI still hope that J.Lo will return. Names in consideration include Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, Katy Perry, and Will. I. Am. An Idol insider came out stating, “No one has signed any contracts yet and producers are currently putting out feelers and setting up meetings to see who they can get. We won’t know if Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] are returning until they see who else is on board.” Auditions for the 12th season of American Idol are currently underway with the producer’s rounds with no judges in attendance. But there are only 3 more cities to go so the clock is ticking on finalizing the judges table. Over on X-Factor replacements for the two vacant judging positions were filled a long time ago of course by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato but Simon Cowell has yet to find a replacement for Steve Jones as host of the show when it returns for its second season. Sources say that Cowell wants to return to his original plan of having two hosts; one male and one female. At the moment many names are being tossed around with hopefuls including George Clooney’s gf Stacey Keibler, Khloe Kardashian Odom, Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez, and Erin Andrews. A source claims Cowell isn’t rushing to fill the slots. “They’re doing the auditions without a host so it’s no big deal they don’t have hosts right now,” the source said. “Simon really wants to take his time. The two-person thing didn’t work out the first time and he wants to make sure it works this time.” Stay tuned with official news on replacements for both singing competition shows.
