It’s official! Nick, Joe, and Kevin otherwise known as the Jonas Brothers have split up. The official announcement was made on Tuesday and doesn’t really come as a shock seeing as the former band cancelled their fall tour just a few weeks ago due to “a deep rift within the band.” In an interview with Good Morning America yesterday, the brothers explained the reason for their split. “I think it was time, and for us it took some time getting there, but we feel like it’s time that the Jonas Brothers come to an end,” Kevin said. Nick added that they’ve reached a place where they “feel like we’re best suited to do our own individual things, all things we’re passionate about, and choose to be brothers first.” Joe said they butted heads over everything from music videos to individual opportunities. “At some point, we decided it was best to finish this and support each other and our own ventures down the way,” he explained. They also announced that their fifth studio album V will never be released save for four songs so their fans have one last thing to remember them by. Additionally, they will be sharing 10 live tracks from their Summer 2013 tour. “We‘ll actually be giving that to our fan club members as a gift,” Kevin explained. Nick will go back to focusing on his solo music as well as writing for others and his acting career. Like his younger brother, Joe plans to make another solo album and challenge himself as an actor. Lastly, Kevin plans to work behind the scenes and of course is getting ready for the arrival of his first child with wife Danielle Jonas.

Is Jennifer Leaving Idol?
Although J.Lo has yet to make a public announcement regarding her future on Idol it seems as if she won’t be returning next season. The main reason for her calling it quits: she’s extremely busy. This summer Jennifer is set to go on tour in Latin America and the U.S with Enrique Iglesias and eventually wants to make it a worldwide tour. This will leave Jennifer on the road until the end of the year giving her no time to be in the U.S when the next round of Idol auditions begin. While J.Lo has some major decisions to make Fox could make her decision easier by offering her a much bigger payday.
Demi Lovato Joins X Factor
Yesterday, Demi Lovato signed on to be the fourth a final judge on the X Factor. She beat out other hopefuls such as Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne who were also being considered to fill the last judging spot. Lovato will be joined by fellow new judge/pop singer Britney Spears along with other judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. A formal announcement about Spears and Lovato joining X Factor was made at the network’s upfront presentation in New York City where both pop singers made an appearance. Look for both Demi Lovato and Britney Spears when the X Factor returns for its second season in September.
Guilty Verdict in the Hudson Family Murder Trial
The jury delivered their verdict today announcing that William Balfour, Jennifer Hudson’s ex-brother-in-law, is guilty of three counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Darnell Donerson, Hudson’s mother, Jason Hudson, her brother, and Julian King, her 7 year old nephew which took place back in October 2008. Jennifer sat silently with her sister, Julia Hudson, along with her fiance David Otunga, and other family members as the verdict was read out. In addition to the murder charges, Balfour was also found guilty of home invasion, residential burglary, aggravated kidnapping, and possession of a stolen vehicle. All in all he is facing life in prison.Unfortunately though, Balfour and his attorney plan to appeal the conviction on June 8. Well for now I hope that the Hudson family can gain some peace from the conviction.
Rebecca Black’s New Song
Rebecca Black has a new song and a music video to go along with it. And its not bad?! Say it ain’t so. The Youtube star’s new video for her song “Sing It” is out and its a thousand times better than her first song and music video “Friday”. Either Rebecca has been taking voice lessons or the studio did a good job fixing her voice. But then again it’s not that hard for anything to be better than “Friday”. Now whether or not you liked “Friday” you can’t deny that it made the girl famous and along the way she ‘s made some very high-profile friends including The Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and of course Katy Perry who included Rebecca in her video for her song “Last Friday Night”. It seems like Rebecca’s gonna be around for a little while longer.
Happy Birthday, Adele!
Today the multi-platinum Grammy winner turns 24! The past year has been nothing short of amazing for the mega-talented singer and songwriter. Although she had to undergo surgery on her vocal cords, this did little to slow her down. Her second album 21, although all about heartbreak, was nothing but earning Adele six Grammy awards and became t he highest-selling album of the 21st century. Not bad for someone so young. And most recently Adele snagged 18! Billboard Music Award Nominations. Seems like a good sign that this year will also be good to the singer.
You can catch the Billboard Music Awards live on May 20th at 8 p.m on ABC
