Scarlett Johansson sparked all kinds of engagement rumors when she stepped out sporting a diamond ring on a certain finger Wednesday in LA. Since then her rep spoke out and told People that the 28 year old actress “is not engaged nor close to being engaged” to her boyfriend French journalist Roman Dauriac. The reason behind the bling? Johansson received the gold ring, complete with two stones—a diamond and a ruby, as a recent gift, but it’s simply a piece of jewelry. This isn’t the first time Johansson has worn a regular ring on what is typically a woman’s engagement finger. In February she was spotted hand in hand with Romain wearing yet another diamond ring on her engagement finger for no special reason at all. Scarlett and Romain only recently went public with their relationship in November 2012. And in an interview with Elle U.K earlier this year Scarlett explained that she’s in no rush to walk down the aisle again and she “never” thinks about marriage. “It’s really not important to me,” she added. “The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me, ‘Would I get married again?’ “
